Giveaway: Trigger Warning

It's my birthday today. It's a big, yucky one and I've been grumpy about it for weeks. So, what is a old lady girl supposed to do to feel better? How about giving away a nice hardcover Neil Gaiman? Entry is easy -- just leave a comment below and let me know you want the book and one thing that makes you feel better on a bad day. I'll make this open internationally, winner to be chosen on 4/27. (Be sure I have a way to contact you!)

Not going gracefully,
K

  1. Aw, I hope your birthday improves, madam! I'd love to get the book, now that my review copy has expired from my nook. :) One thing that makes me feel better on a bad day is making cheese fries. They are delicious, and I make them deliciouser by dipping them in ranch dressing that I buy in pints from a local seafood restaurant. Nom nom nom nom. :D I'm at readingtheend AT gmail DOT com.

  2. This may be bad, but I always go to Waffle House for comfort food. There's nothing better on a bad day than taking a book, sliding into a booth, ordering greasy, cheesy hash browns and crisp bacon, and just sitting and reading!

Happy birthday, and don't feel too bad. You've leveled up, after all!

  6. I'm with you on the birthday grumpiness; had one of my own not too long ago (not a big one yet, but I'm getting too close to be able to ignore it!). Very selfless of you to offer a giveaway in celebration!

I reconciled myself to my birthday by completing a difficult swim workout for the first time ever. (I swim with a group and I always used to skip parts of the workout, thinking I didn't have it in me to do 2000m. On my birthday I did the whole thing just to prove I could, and I've been doing it all ever since.)

I'd love to get a copy of this book, but last time something I won got shipped to me from the States, i had to pay $17 in customs fees! So I'll get my own copy, and good luck to the others!

  7. Well, I hope you have a good day! :) Let's see, I read comfort books, eat chocolate, and watch old MST3K episodes.

  8. Happy Birthday! The movie Matilda always brightens my day. I loved the book as a kid but the movie puts me in a better mood faster
