But then I reread them, and Chrestomanci puts everyone in their place, and the kids live up to his expectations (finally, mostly, sort of), and the stupid bad guys get hoist by their own petards, and I remember why I love the books so much!Kim Aippersbachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02556947405633680410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-754919688510890076.post-45950310338247234902014-03-03T22:54:18.966-08:002014-03-03T22:54:18.966-08:00This is what a series should be -- not one big lon...This is what a series should be -- not one big long story that could be one stretched book, but stories all branching off and expanding the world and visiting the characters in different parts of their lives. Every time I think about them I think "meh," which I KNOW isn't true because I rated them fairly high. Why do I only remember the meh? (This same thing happened with The Magicians of Caprona, which was a meh book for about ten years until I finally read it enough times to remember it properly.)

-- Anastasia @ Here There Be Books Anastasia @ Here There Be Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658910506808149668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-754919688510890076.post-88223811732388154082014-03-02T22:03:19.326-08:002014-03-02T22:03:19.326-08:00I think that would be a fantastic idea. :)I think that would be a fantastic idea. :)Kristen M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02335598194501733541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-754919688510890076.post-91793890848565678722014-03-02T22:02:54.530-08:002014-03-02T22:02:54.530-08:00Yes, the last two are more settled and start expan...Yes, the last two are more settled and start expanding the world. Easily my favorite of this series, with Conrad's Fate a close second because it's fun for me to see teenager Chrestomanci.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
