J.T. - I like it when its done well and I think that part of this novel was fascinating. What would happen to the Cratchits as they grow up. Does Scrooge stay in their lives? What do they think of it. There was a bit of that here and I liked it.

I guess I just don't get why authors use established characters like this. I mean, this sounds like it'd be a good story without the Christmas Carol hook.
