DWJ March: Odds and Ends #1 (+Giveaway)

I've decided to write up these small Odds and Ends posts when I have a few pieces of information to share with you for DWJ March. If you have a blog post, a link or fan art or anything else you would like to share with other Diana Wynne Jones fans, please email it to me (webereadingATgmail) and I'll include it!

We have a giveaway from Ana of Things Mean a Lot. One lucky reader will get a copy of Fire and Hemlock. The giveaway is open internationally and the winner will be chosen in one week. If you haven't read this one yet or if you just don't own a copy, head on over and enter!

And Goldeen Ogawa has written a fantastic post about Howl's Moving Castle. If you're still not sure about reading it with us, her post will hopefully convince you that it's worth picking up.

She's also done a fan art piece with watercolors for Howl's Moving Castle that I love. (Click on the image to see a larger version.)

Chasing down destiny,
K

  1. That watercolor is fantastic!

I just read Howl's Moving Castle for the first time in January and loved it so much. I only wish I had discovered it when I was young.

    1. Me too! I only read it a few years ago. It would have probably changed my reading life if I had found it when it was written in 1986.

  2. I've been really enjoying the DWJ posts on your blog so far! Celebrating her is always a worthwhile and fun activity.

I wrote a post on what DWJ has done for me, personally, but I noticed you faved it on Twitter so I won't email it to you?

  3. LOVE that watercolor!

Howl's Moving Castle is one of my very favorite books. I read it close to once a year. I'll definitely pop round for the discussion. :)

And I'll have a few other Diana-related things to share this month too.

    1. That's exactly what I was thinking! If I was at all artistic, I would be making lots of DWJ fan art.

    2. Thank you so much, I'm glad you like my art!

I've been doing fanart for DWJ for aaaages. Since I was... not so good at it. Now, though, I feel I can do her work justice!
