Celebrate the second national Poem In Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 30, 2009!
The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, family, and friends on April 30, 2009.
I think I will carry this one to celebrate being an "April Girl" ...
Always Marry An April Girl
by Ogden Nash
Praise the spells and bless the charms,
I found April in my arms.
April golden, April cloudy,
Gracious, cruel, tender, rowdy;
April soft in flowered languor,
April cold with sudden anger,
Ever changing, ever true --
I love April, I love you.
Will you have a poem in your pocket today?
A sucker for a gimmicky day,
K
What a wonderful fun cute happy lovely poem! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI think there's always a poem for everyone. I'm not a huge fan of poetry but there are always some that just get you in a certain way -- happy, romantic, memorial or whatever. I just randomly went looking for a poem and found this one!
