Today's BBAW prompt is a simple one but definitely a tough one as well --
What does book blogging mean to you?Well, it's late (as is usually the case when I'm writing blog posts) and my thinky part isn't working as well as I would hope. So here are a few words in non-sentence form that touch on what blogging means to me.
Sharing
Community
Discovery
Friendships
Challenges
Self-Expression
Learning
Comfort
Purpose
Growth
What is the one word that you would choose to represent what book blogging means to you?
Short of words but strong on emotion,
K
Your response is perfect, Kristen. It captures the very essence of book blogging. I'm not sure I could use just one word. Everything you said, really.
ReplyDeleteMy one word is "connection," and I'm also 100% behind the ten you listed.
ReplyDeleteLiterary Feline - The words definitely kept coming. It would be hard to distill it down to one.
ReplyDeleteMemory - That's a great addition. I really like that word!
Nicely put, sometime there's no better way to say something other than simple words! Found your blog via BBAW. This is my first year participating in it and I'm glad I am. I write a children's book blog. It's www.storytimebooks.wordpress.com. Feel free to check it out if you'd like. I'll be back to visit your blog!
ReplyDeleteStorytime - Thanks for stopping by! We do a bit of children's books around here -- less now that it takes more time to read chapter books. We used to get through tons of new picture books every week!
ReplyDeleteWow...they ALL describe book blogging, but to me blogging is all about the wonderful bloggers who make it happen.
ReplyDeleteSooooooooooooo...I am going to choose COMMUNITY!!
Stop by to see my post if you like.
Have a fun day.

All those words are great, but don't forget FUN! :)
ReplyDeleteYou choose so many great words to describe book blogging. I especially love sharing and growth. It is an amazing place to be isn't it? I wouldn't trade you guys for anything!
ReplyDeleteBut have to LOL at Heather's comment about fun. YES!!
Community - it's what keeps me going.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth - Community is a great one and the one that keeps most of us in it!
ReplyDeleteHeather - That's right! FUN!
Trish - Growth is one of the most important ones to me right now. Not only pushing the boundaries of what I will read but also growing socially -- not being such an introvert. :)
Elizabeth - I'm glad you DO keep going!
Oh the thinky part. Wait, what is that again? ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with all your words, especially learning and comfort. My two favorite things! In word form! Also: typing. Lots and lots of typing.
Tasha - Yes, typing. Between blogs and social media, I've got the typing thing covered. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you can type. To me that is as important as knowing how to read.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell I was a business/keyboarding teacher? :) :)
HAVE FUN.
Elizabeth

Love your list of words! My first instinct is to choose Community, but Learning and Growth are awesome choices too. So hard to choose just one!
