Mystery Read-A-Thon: Update One

I've started reading The Mammoth Book of New Historical Whodunits tonight. Edited by Mike Ashley, this collection only has one author that I've heard of so I'm hoping to get some new author leads.

The first story is His Master's Servant by Philip Boast. This is a story set during the Crusades. Saladin himself sends for the Knight Templar Sir Roger de Belcourt to come to Jerusalem to solve a murder and theft, supposedly perpetrated by a Christian Jew. This was barely a mystery. Sir Roger finds the right person to talk to and he reveals all. A slow start to the book but I'm hoping for more out of some of the other 25 stories.

Time Spent Reading: 45 minutes
Total Read-A-Thon Time: 45 minutes

I might read one more story before bed but I won't write about it until the morning.
