We have finally given in and joined Twitter! So either leave your twitter name in the comments section or go follow us and we'll reciprocate -- we're @WeBeReading, of course.
Well, good luck with it! I've never been that tempted to tweet, then again I've never been that tempted to join Facebook, either - maybe I'm just too much of a luddite. (Or more likely, I'm really trying to restrict my online time to the minimum that will satisfy my addiction - Blogger as methodone!)
I go through different phases with Twitter--sometimes I'll spend all evening on it for weeks, wasting away the time, and sometimes I'll abandon it completely for weeks. Twitter doesn't love my computer, which is one reason I often leave it alone for a long time. But on the other hand, one time I was on Twitter watching someone post updates as she read Fire and Hemlock, best book ever, and that was pretty great.
Tracy - I just felt like there was a social side to the community that I was missing by not being on Twitter. I wanted to see what it's all about! I'm a Facebook junkie too. ;)
Jenny - That's probably how I will be too. Except I have it on my iPhone now too so it will be there all of the time. A big temptation!
Tif - It's exactly what I thought it was ... a community! I am having fun but also spending way too much time on it. :) I will have to find a good balance but luckily it's summer right now and I can slack a bit!
It took me a while to find that balance! I've learned that some days it just have to be let go and that is okay! I lived without it for many years before!! :)
Well, good luck with it!
